Austin Ki-Aikido of one of the dojos of the Midland Ki Federation. Overseeing the continuity and direction of this federation of dojos is Koichi Kashiwaya Sensei. He is 8th Dan, Chief Instructor for Midland Ki Federation and U.S. Advisor for the Ki Society (Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido Kai).  In 1976, after many years of practice, culminated by two years of intensive training under Tohei Sensei, Kashiwaya Sensei went to Boulder, Colorado. Many of the Ki Society instructors now teaching in the midwest began their training with him. In Austin, we are able to host seminars with Kashiwaya Sensei once a year.  This seminar with Sensei is held in Houston and hosted by the Houston Ki-Aikdio in December of most years.
