What to expect.
When you come to visit, you'll find a welcoming and respectful environment.
You’re free to observe a class quietly from the sidelines, or if you're ready, you can join in and participate at your comfort level.
No experience is necessary — beginners are always welcome.
What to Wear
If you have a gi (martial arts uniform), feel free to wear it. If not, comfortable athletic clothing (like a T-shirt and sweatpants or leggings) is perfect. Please avoid jewelry and accessories that could catch during movement.
We train barefoot on mats.
A typical class includes:
Breathing and centering exercises to calm the mind and focus the body
Ki development practice (basic movement, posture, coordination)
Aikido techniques — practiced cooperatively with partners at a pace suited to your level
Cool-down and closing meditation
Classes are structured but not rigid. Everyone trains at their own speed, and instructors are there to support you every step of the way.
You’ll be partnered with experienced students who can guide you. It’s normal to feel awkward at first — that's part of learning. You won’t be expected to know anything or "keep up" — just bring your attention and willingness to learn.
Questions are always welcome before, during, or after class.
If you’d like to visit or try a class:
Simply show up a few minutes early.
There’s no pressure to commit — you're welcome to practice and attend classes for a month before you join.
We look forward to meeting you.
